Doug Graham and Bruce Shelby founded Telecom Labs, Inc., a phone systems dealer serving the Pacific Northwest.
Instead of merely selling phone systems, Graham and Shelby saw an opportunity and market need for maintenance and support providers and made a massive business shift to a service provider model.
While most businesses were forging deeper partnerships with OEMs like Avaya, TLI found success by moving to a Third-Party Maintenance model. It set a precedent in the industry for the freedom of choice in a maintenance provider.
As Microsoft and Cisco began to emerge as frontrunners, we strategically partnered with them.
As our service offering continued to expand, we needed a new name. We wanted our name to better reflect who we are, so Telecom Labs became Continuant. At the same time, we finalized our first acquisition, DialPro Northwest.
Acquired DialPro Northwest
We partnered with the largest wholesale voice carrier in the world, Tata Communications. The possibilities to support users worldwide became virtually limitless.
We acquired Ellis Pro Media, a world-class AV integrator. This enabled us to initiate a new suite of AV solutions and service offerings.

Amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, Microsoft named us Partner of the Year for Calling and Meetings.

In 2022 we helped clinical research innovator - Parexel - transition to Teams Phone and Meeting Rooms for a globally unified user experience. Because of this work, we were awarded Microsoft Global Partner of the Year for Converged Communications and were honored to be the first and only company that has received this award twice.
